With 60's roots, the concept behind the step deck is two-fold - (i) a reduction in swing weight, which improves the boards ability to turn tighter and faster, and (ii) the thinned out step allows for increased entry rocker flex and therefore an easier setup for staying locked in when perched on the nose - or so it goes.
The bottom consists of a subtle concave under the nose, gradually blending into a flat to slight roll which runs the length of the board and exiting out the back. The rails are 50/50 that have been turn up and knifey, which provides easy roll rail to rail and plenty of hold when pushed through turns. The glass-on single fin is 10.25" and offers a wide enough base for stability and drive, while the upright and modestly swept tip allows the board to be nimble enough to pivot hard when called upon. The triple tapered stringers are not something you'll commonly see - another feather of innovation and performance.
