CONDITION: This "Average Joe" by Channel Islands is in excellent condition! Manufactured in Surtech, this construction is known to be very light, yet sturdy under the toughest conditions. The deck has only the tiniest evidence of use - we'd almost say "no pressures". The belly is even cleaner, with little evidence of use. There was one professional repair, approx mid-board on the left rail. The repaired area was painted over and is flush, smooth, and fully watertight. Outside of the 1 repair, there are just a small handful of scattered nics and scratches. This Average Joe looks and feels like a fresh one! Ready to wax and GOOOOoooooo!!!
FROM CHANNEL ISLANDS: After hundreds of stops on our demo tours, we have learned a few things. One of those is that surfers sometimes want something simple, fun, and easy to ride.
Light single concave for the first 1/3 to deepening concave vee throughout. The Joe can be surfed off the rail or tail that has Al’s signature hip tail template to keep drive. Full rails keep high volume in a short outline.
Increase wave count, make more sections. The average Joe is geared towards the things that makes surfing fun.
